To Rep. Raúl R. Labrador,
By voting to continue the same old big government freedom-swallowing policies of the Boehner/GOP leadership, you personally and expressly violated the mandate and purpose given you by the voters this last November.
Your vote affirms, supports and validates the speaker’s policies, such as the 2014 Cromnibus bill that fully funded illegal administrative actions, which makes irrelevant Congress’s duty to create laws. Your vote for Speaker Boehner expresses your support for fully funding illegal executive orders extending amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants over the desires of your electorate. And it expressly supports the breaking of promises by the GOP to defund and legislate out of existence Obamacare, which is a large part of the reason the voters put you and the GOP in power.
A real leader would have been loudly and vocally challenging the abuses and collusion of Speaker Boehner, who by working with and empowering the administration, perpetrated so many actions against the people and the Constitution of this United States. Instead you knuckled under and blended in with the herd to maintain your position and status within the party.
You do not deserve the trust I placed in you by so blindly voting in your favor this last November. I truly regret that now.
You posted a statement today that concluded with this paragraph: “My vote for Mr. Boehner is not an endorsement of his past leadership. Just as I have done during my first two terms in office, I will continue to fight for the American people and hold our leadership accountable.”
That, sir, is blathering nonsense. Your vote is a total complete endorsement of Speaker Boehner’s policies and leadership. Once again, your constituents have no hope of honest representation in Washington.
Unlike the Republican leadership, I will faithfully execute this promise and not repeat the mistake of voting for you again, sir.
