GREENCREEK A Greencreek teenager received minor injuries following a rollover accident just east of town last Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Tiffany A. Sonnen, 15, was transported by St. Mary’s Ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital (SMH) in Cottonwood. SMH does not release patient status information.
The single-vehicle crash was reported at 7:25 a.m. on Greencreek Road, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Sonnen was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala westbound around 50 mph when her vehicle started to slide due to ice. She overcorrected, lost control, and the Impala slid onto the right shoulder for 40 feet and then came back onto the road where it rolled onto its top and slid into the middle of the roadway.
Sonnen was wearing a seat belt. The Cottonwood Volunteer Fire Department Extraction Unit was required to help remove Sonnen from the vehicle.
ICSO Deputy Scott Paulsen investigated the crash with Cottonwood Police Chief Terry Cochran and Idaho State Police Trooper Wally Youngren. Fred’s Towing provided wrecker services.
