Idahoans who end their education in high school can, on average, expect to earn only half as much as those with a four-year degree, yet fewer than 47 percent of the state’s 2013 high school graduates enrolled in a two- or four-year program. Why are Idaho’s high school students not going on to college or other postsecondary education programs?
Journey to College, an Idaho Public Television special sponsored in cooperation with the Idaho State Board of Education, looks at some roadblocks to higher education and suggests solutions to help students and parents prepare for their future.
Idaho Public Television’s Joan Cartan-Hansen will host this live 90-minute show Monday, Jan. 26, 8 p.m. MT/PT. She will be joined by a panel of experts who will look at efforts across the state to help high school students and their parents prepare for college and other postsecondary programs.
Journey to College is part of the State Board of Education’s “Complete College Idaho” initiative.
