COTTONWOOD — The warm weather is upon us and the kids are in their last week of school. It’s graduation time for the seniors. Congratulations to all of you as you go off to seek your fortune.

Blood Drive: During the summer, blood donations typically drop off dramatically as donors go on vacation and schools close, but the need for blood never takes a holiday. The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood as it is critical to provide a steady and ample supply. Cottonwood Blood Drive is June 9 at the Community Hall. Call Brenda Kaschmitter or Cheri Holthaus at 962-3251 to schedule an appointment. Any healthy person age 17 (age 16 with signed parental consent) or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required for all blood donations. One pint can save three lives.
