Spring livestock show winners named

— The annual Idaho County 4-H Spring Livestock Show was held Saturday, June 13, at the Idaho County Fairgrounds in Cottonwood.

The day began with weighing-in the market lambs and market goats. More than 100 4-H members participated in the Livestock Judging Contest followed by fitting and showing and quality classes for beef steers, breeding beef, market goats and market lambs. Educational clinics were also held for dogs, poultry and rabbit project members. The county demonstration contest was held throughout the afternoon. Top demonstration awards will be given at the Idaho County Fair.

Livestock Judging Contest

Receiving a rosette ribbon: Top Over-All Judge: Bladen Farmer; Top Beef Judge: Laney Forsmann. Top Sheep Judge: Bladen Farmer.

Livestock Fitting and Showing and Quality

Receiving a rosette ribbon: Lamb Fitting & Showing — Grand Champion: Dylan Canaday; Reserve Champion: Taylor Bransford. Lamb Quality — Grand Champion: Naomi Connolley; Reserve Champion: Taylor Bransford. Goat Fitting & Showing — Grand Champion: Gracelyn Missman; Reserve Champion: Elizabeth Severns. Meat Goat Quality — Grand Champion: Elizabeth Severns; Reserve Champion: Gracelyn Missman. Beef Fitting & Showing — Grand Champion: Sydney Rylaarsdam-Schoo; Reserve Champion: Hope Schwartz. Market Beef Quality — Grand Champion: Michael Schwartz; Reserve Champion: Sydney Rylaarsdam-Schoo. Breeding Beef Quality — Grand Champion Heifer: Cecily Puckett; Grand Champion Cow/Calf: Marie Heckman.
