Kindergarten 2015-16 screenings set for Grangeville, Kooskia

Screening packets available at schools now

Friday, April 10, Mountain View School District will be holding kindergarten registration and screening at Grangeville Elementary Middle School as well as Clearwater Valley Elementary School in Kooskia. School-age children for the 2015-16 year will be registered. Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible for enrollment and screening for kindergarten.

Pick up a preregistration packet and set up a screening appointment at the GEMS or CVES offices March 4-April 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Screening will take place at the schools from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring the following: Student; completed registration packet, state issued birth certificate original and a copy for student’s file; immunization record and a copy for student’s file.

Idaho State Law mandates the children entering kindergarten shall have received, or in the process of receiving, the following immunizations: 5 - Diphtheria - Pertussis – Tetanus; 3 - Oral Polio; 2 – MMR; 3 - Hepatitis B ; 2 - Hepatitis A; and 2 – Varicella.

No immunizations will be given at the school at the child’s screening date. Necessary immunizations can be obtained through your personal physician or Public Health Department clinics. Public Health Department clinics are held each Thursday or by appointment (983-2842).
