GRANGEVILLE David Bodine was recently elected chairman of the board of directors at Pine Tree Community Credit Union. Bodine assumes the position from Jerry
Zumalt who is standing down as board chair, but will remain on the board.
Bodine was elected to PTCCU’s board in 2012. He is a native to Grangeville area, where he owned and managed, along with his wife, Bobbi, son Timothy and daughter Sooki, a family-run farm. He attended the University of Idaho, where he received both his bachelor of services degree and master’s degree in agriculture economics. Bodine retired from active farming in 2013.
The board also elected Rachel Young, vice chair, and Janis Lance, secretary-treasurer, who, along with Joe Cladouhos, Melanie Hawkins and Bob Mangold, make up the remainder of the seven-person board. Since credit unions are owned by the members, the board is elected by the members to provide direction to the credit union leadership on the ways to best serve member needs.
Dan Goehring, CEO of PTCCU said the members and staff of PTCCU welcome Bodine with “great enthusiasm.”
“I am pleased that someone with Mr. Bodine’s management, and investment experience will be leading the board,” he said. “I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Mr. Zumalt for his significant contribution to the success of PTCCU as board chair since 2006.”
