KOOSKIA Grab your partner and head on over to the Old Opera House Theater March 21 for the Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band.
The country performers will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $12 apiece. Call Graves Nursery, Floral and Thrift at 926-0094 to reserve tickets, which generally sell out early.
“This is a really quality band who has proved to be very popular last time they were here,” said Marcia Graves, whose son, Brandon, runs the theater.
The Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band is a trio of females who harmonize to provide traditional western tunes. Lauralee Northcott leads the charge with frontline bass and vocals. Jennifer Epps provides vocals, harmonica and percussion while Judy Coder adds yodeling, vocals and swing guitar.
The group has won a variety of awards including Western Music Association finalists for album, song and entertainers of the year in 2011-12. They were winners of the harmony trio of the year in 2009 as well.
The band performed for Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, airing on more than 500 NPR, PBS and Armed Forces Radio stations.
