RIGGINS — The Riggins annual Spring Red Cross Blood Drive will be held March 31 from 2-7 p.m. and April 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salmon River Lodge. Contact Joy at 628-3224 or Kris at 628-3572 to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Every unit of blood given saves lives.
RIGGINS Get ready for a night of fun this Saturday, March 14! Grab a friend and brush up on your gaming skills. All proceeds benefit the Salmon River Jet Boat Races in Riggins and the Salmon River Joint School District 243. Meet a racer, win big and bid bigger! There will be lots of great auction items and door prizes!

Riggins Rodeo Queen tryouts will be held this Sunday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the Riggins Rodeo grounds.
The eighth annual Joe Wilson St. Paddy’s Day sausage feed is this Sunday, March 15, in downtown White Bird at the IOOF Hall beginning at 12:30 p.m. (PDT).
The Salmon River Art Guild March Miniature Madness Show will hold its second annual show Saturday, March 21, at Hoots Café just south of White Bird.
Congratulations to Jimmy Shepherd, son of Charlie and Susan Shepherd, for being named to the 2015 Idaho State High School All-Star basketball team for Southern Idaho.
Free book giveaway! Stop by the Salmon River High School library to browse through the large assortment of books. You might find something to add to your collection.
Salmon River School District will have elections for three of its five board of trustee zones, zones one, two, and three, May 19. Zone one is the zone north of town, zone two is the zone west of town and zone three is the zone in town. See the district web site for a detailed map of the board of trustee zones. If you are interested or know of someone who may be interested and lives in one of these zones contact Michelle Hollon at the district office for information. All paperwork needs to be completed and submitted to the Clerk by March 19.
General contractors needed… the board of trustees of Salmon River School District is looking for contractors to submit a bid for a possible remodel project. If you are a licensed contractor or know a licensed contractor, have them contact Mr. Doramus at the school as soon as possible.
The Pinehurst Quilters have a $250 scholarship available for any Salmon River graduate already attending an institution of higher learning or vocational school. Applicants must already be attending school and show proof of enrollment for the coming fall semester. Applications are available from Susan Hollenbeak at the City Library or contact Kathie Wright of Pinehurst Quilters at 628-3518.
Riggins PTO will sponsor a Color Run fund-raiser on Saturday, May 9.
