COTTONWOOD — “I’ve been doing this for a few years now and am always amazed how they are able to pull it together and make it come out great,” smiled Erin Shears.

Shears, the director of Center of Discovery afterschool program in Cottonwood, was watching the dress rehearsal for Missoula Children’s Theater’s “Jungle Book” production last Friday, March 20. The main performance was held shortly after the rehearsal.

More than 60 local kids preschool through seniors put on the play which was sponsored by Center for Discovery, The Prairie Booster Club, Fred’s Body Shop, Dale and Brandy McElroy and family, Brett Uhlenkott Well Drilling and Mike and Suzi Quintal and family.

Missoula Children’s Theater actors, husband and wife team Peter and Sarah Kane, were hosted by the Monastery of St. Gertrude. Volunteer Michelle Wilson played the piano for practices and performances.
