KOOSKIA Public and school libraries across the state are celebrating Idaho Family Reading Week Nov. 15-21. Celebrations are planned to encourage parents and caregivers to read with their children and inspire them to become lifelong learners. Idaho Family Reading Week is sponsored by the Idaho Commission for Libraries’ Read to Me Program and libraries throughout the state.
The Kooskia library will host a story hour Tuesday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. The week of activity will culminate with a Family Reading event Friday, Nov. 20, 6 p.m. Children (parents, too) are encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed animal and/or blanket to the Friday evening event. There will be books, games and refreshments.
