Logging operations on Adams Timber Sale to begin in November

News Brief

Logging operations will begin this month on the Adams Stewardship timber sale on the Salmon River Ranger District. Operations will include conventional and helicopter yarding adjacent to the Grangeville Salmon Road 221 with 40-60 loads per day being delivered.

“Trucks Hauling and Truck Entering” signs will be posted at road junctions and “Logging Operations” signs will be posted near (within 200 feet) of activity. Operations are expected to continue through December.  IFG Timber, LLC., the sale contractor, is coordinating with the local Sno-drifters Club and the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest to assure winter recreational opportunities are preserved.

Travelers are requested to use caution when traveling this route.
