Attention: Outdoor people, hunters, fisherman, children and grandchildren—your lands are being taken away!
Idaho senators Crapo and Risch are the only two senators that are attempting to take away from citizens the public lands they own with two infamous misdeeds they are involved with. See below:
Legislating away up to 39,000 acres Forest Service lands in Lochsa Land Exchange—The Forest Service attempted to trade these lands away in four north Idaho counties to the land development firm Western Pacific Timber previously established by the infamous Tim Blixseth ( in jail in Montana). Since the Forest Service could not justify the trade being in the people’s interests, a series of back room meetings resulted in senators Crapo and Risch proposing to legislate the land trade away through a bill. The people of Idaho have not been surveyed to show that over 90 percent of them oppose this fiasco.
Senate Bill SA 838—Senator Lisa Murkowski’s (R-AK) amendment, passed by a vote of 51 to 49, with 95 percent Republican senators voting yes, is now part of the Senate’s nonbinding budget resolution. The proposal would support and fund state efforts, which many argue are unconstitutional, to seize and sell America’s public lands. These include all national forests, wildlife refuges, wilderness areas, historic sites, and national monuments. Senators Crapo and Risch voted yes.
Senators Risch and Crapo are the only two senators volunteering to take away public lands owned by the people twice without once surveying the people’s choice.
