GRANGEVILLE Erwin James Willey, 82, of Grangeville, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at his home.
Erwin was born Sept. 29, 1933, at Fromberg, Mont. He moved to Spokane when he was a young boy. Following his education he started a heating and air conditioning company which he owned and operated for many years. He married and later divorced. He married Joyce Thomas in 1994 and together they traveled across the United States and Canada for six years. In 2000 they moved to Grangeville and built their home.
Erwin enjoyed painting, playing golf and riding four-wheelers. He also enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four children, Don Willey of Everett, Wash., Pam Smith of Spokane, Bob Willey of Couer d'Alene and Carol Tipton of Fruitland, Idaho; two stepchildren, Jeff Thomas of Port Angles, Wash., Jim Blair of Lewistown, Mont.; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
