Regional animal shelter proposal topic of Dec. 9 community meeting

— The Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) will host an informational meeting Wednesday, Dec. 9, for those looking to be involved in the creation of a regional animal shelter. The public meeting runs 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Soltman Center, 700 West Main Street, Grangeville.

According to ARF, the meeting will discuss the community benefit of creating a shelter, and how to get involved. This presentation is geared toward those interested in protecting the welfare of abandoned and abused pets by providing care, shelter and spay and neutering to prevent future unwanted pets; and securing adoptive homes for pets and support community awareness of ethical treatment of animals.
