Democrats to meet Nov. 30; Maldonado to be guest speaker

— Idaho County Democrats will hold their last 2015 meeting at the Twisted Cellar in Grangeville Monday, Nov. 30. This will be a holiday celebration with a no-host social and dinner time beginning at 5 p.m. The program will start at 6:30 p.m. with a short business session followed by guest speaker, Jesse Maldonado.

Maldonado was born and raised in Lewiston. Following his graduation in 2013 he announced his candidacy for Lewiston City Council and was subsequently elected to that position. In addition to his council duties, he is enrolled at Lewis-Clark State College where he is studying business and communications with a minor in political science. His presentation will cover a variety of topics with a special emphasis on recruiting young people for public office. The evening’s event will also honor several longtime Idaho County Democrats. For information call Bill Farmer (962-5655) or Shelley Dumas (983-2821).
