Planned Kamiah outage starts Nov. 4 night

— Equipment replacement will require a three-hour scheduled outage starting next Wednesday night, Nov. 4, affecting both Avista and Idaho County Light and Power Cooperative customers.

“During our outage last week we discovered a faulty protective device that must be replaced immediately,” said Dan Austin, Avista’s Grangeville district manager, “in order to protect our equipment and ensure we do not have an emergency outage situation.”

The outage will begin at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, and end at 3 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5. Approximately 1,358 Avista customers – city of Kamiah and surrounding area – will be affected. Also impacted by the outage will be ICLP customers in the following areas: Kamiah area, Pine Ridge Subdivision, Doty Ridge, Woodland, Pardee, Caribel, Glenwood, Beaverslide and Kidder Ridge.

Call Avista 1-800-227-9187 or ICLP, 983-1610.
