CVES Back to School Night 2015

School started Tuesday, Sept. 1, for Clearwater Valley schools, delayed due to regional fires and that CV Elementary School was being used as an American Red Cross emergency shelter. Kicking off the year on Monday was the annual CVES Welcome Back to School Night and walking taco meal, hosted by CVSS PTSA and Clearwater Valley Marketplace. During the presentation, PTSA president Becky Ward was presented two $600 checks for the organization from school volunteer Debbie Hays donated by White Boyz Racing of Meridian and Gary Weaver (Weaver Seed; Crabtree, Ore.), race director for Thunder on the Snake. White Boyz Racing has conducted water safety instruction for CVES students the past two years, and concerned with the local impact due to area wildfires they donated their second-place FX Class earnings from last month’s Snake River race, which was matched by Weaver.
