Face challenging times, period of disablement

Letter to the Editor

We have a crisis of church and state. Of the perception of authority and governance and the global shift from the analog world of agriculture and the industrial period to the high speed algorithmic programs whose strategies and systemic relations are based on digital mechanisms that increase the volatility we experience in all things that affect us.

It is now heresy to question papal authority and the rule of men and women who claim superiority to all things sacred and the legitimacy of ideas within statecraft. This is disrespect for the rule of God and secular society under which men and women live. This is the result of this profound volatility and results in paranoiac tendencies.

We have the heresy of global warming, illegal immigration, homophobia, abortion and other challenging views? We are at risk for faith in our cultural belief systems and the sovereignty of state as well as the right to self-determination, as to our rights as a people.

This pontiff grandstanded his believers by travelling through Rome on the METRO. Now this pope wishes to travel to the U.S. by way of Mexico among illegals entering this nation searching for sanctuary. His duties and responsibilities are ecclesiastical and not political. They are of tending to his universal Catholic flock and not pandering to political demagoguery as a change agent for a new world order. He is an actor who has betrayed his faith to human folly. The pontiff wishes illegals to build the platform from which he will pontificate his message. I live among Christians with a large Catholic community. From his written and verbal proclamations (the Year of Mercy) he has blessed abortion, homosexuals, global warming initiatives and now illegal immigration as an act of mercy. He is most offensive. I am of Catholic background whose relations rank among the highest in the pyramid we call the Vatican. He is a disruptive and a disquieting figure that demands obedience to church doctrinal positions like our political leaders within their respective parties and positions held.

We are facing challenging times and a period of disablement and our world leaders, both religious and secular, have not taken the opportunity to guarantee the sovereignty of nation states nor the drive for independence and real prosperity among nations that respect liberty and freedom. We are at risk and we need to question and pray for answers such that enable the liberation of each and every one of us if we are to achieve peace and prosperity, and the inalienable rights that are inviolate and granted by God.
