Kamiah: A time to celebrate

With the region now in recovery mode from recent devastating wildfires, the 79th annual Kamiah Barbecue Days event Sept. 4-6 provided the community an opportunity to come together and a respite from the recent chaos. Downtown was packed last Saturday as the Main Street grand parade highlighted community businesses, organizations, as well as representatives from fire and emergency services. Pictured here, children watch the oncoming parade with the backdrop behind Kamiah of blackened hills from the August wildfires.
