Minor injuries resulted from a two-vehicle, rear-end crash on Lukes Gulch Road last Thursday, Sept. 3.
Driver Misty L. Johnson, 31, and her passenger, Loretta B. Wells, 74, both of Grangeville, were transported to Syringa Hospital in Grangeville.
The crash was reported at 1:49 p.m., eight miles northeast of Grangeville near the intersection with Turner Road, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Johnson was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus southbound and slowed to negotiate a hump along the centerline of gravel mix laid due to grader operations at the time. A southbound 2000 Ford F350 pickup, driven by Ethan D. Puderbaugh, 22, of Kooskia, was following too closely and was unable to stop in time to keep from crashing into the Taurus.
All involved were wearing seat belts. Long’s Towing provided wrecker services for the Taurus. ICSO Deputy Mike Brewster investigated the crash.
