KAMIAH There were approximately 196 visitors stopped by, despite the rain, at the Central Idaho Quilt Guild’s 20th annual Quilt Show held this past weekend. There were 113 pieces entered in 18 categories.
The big winner of the day was Raylin Wemhoff – she won the raffle quilt called “Snow Bunnies.”
People’s Choice awards were given to:
Best of Show - Anita Brumley for her “French Braid” in many bright colors; first – Carole BonAnno for her “Oriental Love;” second – Anita Brumley for her “Moose and Friends;” third – Cathie Orr for her hand embroidered “Dresden Plate.”
Judges Choice Awards to three places went to:
Antique Quilts (more than 60 years old and entered for display only) - Earleen Kowceun, Joyce Shawley, Jeanne Walter, Mayme Hayes and Lynne Uhlenkott; Baby Quilts – first, Janet Dickson, second, Carolyn Doughty; third, Marilyn Moore.
