Quilt Walk, free pancake breakfast set for Sept. 19

— The Grangeville Biennial Quilt and Art Walk is set for Saturday, Sept. 19.

This event is sponsored by Homegrown Quilts and will include a free pancake breakfast at Heritage Square on Main Street, 9 to 11 a.m., provided by the Grangeville Chamber of Commerce.

The day will include kids’ quilt block coloring, a quilt scavenger hunt and a self-guided Barn Quilt Tour.

Free quilt demos will include Riley Blake Fabrics (Utah) with birthday, holiday and patriotic banners and a trunk show; Belinda Rhodes (Moscow) – with a pillow case class; Paula Brooks (Yakima) with Quilting 101; Paula Atwood (Coeur d’Alene) with a quilters boardwalk display; and Cindy Moore, Funclub Designs (Meridian) with wool applique and a trunk show.

Events will take place at Home Grown Quilts, 207 West Main Street, Grangeville.

Central Idaho Art Association will have displays and sales throughout Main Street and Quilts of Valor will also be on display.

A Blue Cheese Quilt class is also set for Friday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Instructor is Sharon Kendall from Riley Blake Fabrics. Sign up by calling Home Grown Quilts at 983-0254.
