Kooskia motorcyclist injured in Sunday crash

— Alcohol is a suspected factor in a Sunday motorcycle crash east of Grangeville that injured a Kooskia man.

David M. Luebke, 58, was transported to Syringa Hospital. Patient status information was unavailable.

The crash was reported at 5:01 p.m. on Sept. 20, at milepost 3.5 on State Highway 13, according to an Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) report. Luebke was riding a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when left the roadway off the right side and went airborne for approximately 30 feet down the embankment before impacting several trees. At this point, Luebke was ejected over the handlebars. He was not wearing a helmet.

Investigation is continuing by ICSO Deputy Craig Hoodman and citations are pending. Dale’s Rescue Towing handled wrecker services.
