Parish pictures to be taken

COTTONWOOD — It’s time to sign up to get your picture taken for the parish directory. You can do so by going to the website www.triparishchur... or by calling the office at 962-3214. The directory is a valuable resource for anyone needing addresses of parishioners at times like a funeral. Dates for photo sessions are Oct. 27-31 and Nov. 3-7.

COTTONWOOD — Hear ye, hear ye! All ye kings and queens, knights and nobles and peasants: thou hath been summoned to join the festivities of the 18th annual Mystery Night. “A Knight to Remember” will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Greencreek Community Hall. It begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. with the live auction at 7 p.m. Dinner will be served. Grand prize is $10,000 redeemable at many fine merchants in the area. One person in 10 wins a $100 prize. A donation of $125 covers admission for you and your guest, two free drinks, a no-host bar and entry into the raffle. Call the school for tickets at 962-5650 or visit

Moms groups for the Cottonwood area are starting up for the 2015-2016 year! These are the books and meeting days being offered this year: Unleashed: How to Receive Everything the Holy Spirit Wants to Give You by Sonja Corbitt — Monday evening; The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families by Stephen R. Covey —Tuesday morning; The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian — Thursday evening; and The 4:8 Principle: The Secret to a Joy-Filled Life by Tommy Newberry — Saturday morning. Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be a mom to join us! And though the reading material may come from Catholic authors, women of any faith background are encouraged to participate. Idaho County Republican Central Committee is holding a drawing Tuesday, Nov. 17. First prize is a DPMS AR-15 Oracle; second prize is a Ruger .22 Charger; third prize is a brick of .22 ammo. Summit Academy will be having a yard sale Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, at 402 Main St. in Cottonwood. The hours are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. On all small items like toys, housewares and decorations, we will be doing a bag sale. There will be bargains on large items or best offer. New items have been added so come and take a look. You are bound to find something you need.
