Tri-Parish retreat is this weekend

Cottonwood News

On Friday, April 8, students from Summit Academy planted trees on Cottonwood Butte in honor of Arbor Day. Clark Christensen from the Idaho Department of Lands was there to instruct the students on how to plant trees. He also brought snacks for the kids to have when they were finished planting about 150 Ponderosa Pine seedlings. Mr. Christensen is retiring from his job soon, so he presented Mrs. Amy Rose with a T-shirt that said, “YAY! TREES!” for all her work in scheduling this field trip every year. Each student got a souvenir tree to take home. Pictured here are first, second, 11th and 12th graders.
