From Bud’s Saw Service to Bud’s PowerSports, this booming Cottonwood-area business has the track record and expertise you’re looking for in a machine dealer. At Bud’s, it’s all about the people – the people who made the business what it is today, and the people they’ve served along the way. Their story begins with Bud Poxleitner’s arrival in Cottonwood, where he became the go-to-guy for Stihl and Husqvarna chain saws and, one year into operation, Scorpion Snowmobiles.
From that early beginning, Bud’s grew in the machine maintenance, repair and sales business. In 1981, Scorpion became Arctic Cat. In 1985, Bud added Polaris ATVs to his product line. His brother, Errol, took over the business in 1989 and Todd Stenzel joined the Bud’s Saw Service team in 1996. John and Koleen Law took over ownership in 2010. Errol and Todd are still on board, ready to help customers find and maintain just the right machine and accessories – all with the same old-school values Bud built into the business at the very start.
The Law family continues to build the business. Thanks to all involved, in 2014, Bud’s Saw Service made the leap from Main Street to an impressive new showroom and new name of Bud’s PowerSports located one mile south of Cottonwood on U.S. Highway 95. With the new building and location, their sales and service has grown to include Can-Am ATV’s and side-by-sides, Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Polaris snowmobiles, Polaris ATV’s and side-by-sides, Arctic Cat snowmobiles, Stihl chain saws and Polaris generators.
