LOWELL / SYRINGA Alan and Mary Hamilton of AIRE Boats down in Boise spent the weekend on the Lochsa boating, the river was right at four feet and such a perfect level for the start of the rafting whitewater season. Alan was saying the new boat or equipment of choice down in Boise is the Stand Up Paddleboard!
Three Rivers Rafting took off on Saturday and Sunday morning with some new guides to get wet! Ten plus boaters had the most perfect weather, the most perfect water level, and almost perfect new guides!!!
Everyone was surprised at the hundreds of kayakers at the put in and surf wave, also Lochsa Falls. River folks from Montana and Idaho lined the banks of the Mighty Lochsa.
We had a 40th birthday party with kayakers from McCall who filled the cabins here in Lowell this weekend, and they had sunshine until almost 8 p.m., don’t you just love spring!
Liam and Michelle Libby and little boy Jasper, moved in to Lowell for the season, Liam being lead boatman for Three Rivers Rafting again this year. Other guides are Conner, Gus, Gary, and many, more, but they all look alike and dress the same; I can’t tell one from the other.
Miss Ruthie turns 10 on April 19; she got a new hairdo. Miss Ella spends most weekends practicing riding her unicycle. Miss Maddie is best little reader ever, and Miss Martha is right in the middle of CV track season and getting ready for summer!
Their cousin, Mr. Max, has been driving Great Gramma Martha’s golf cart through every mud puddle within a mile. At 2-1/2 he’s actually co-pilot sitting on driver’s lap. “Go back, go back, we missed a puddle.”
