Seven Kamiah High School students participated in state HOSA and all qualified for national competition.

KAMIAH Seven Kamiah High School students gave up their spring vacation to attend this year’s HOSA State Leadership Conference April 6-8 in Boise. There were more than 800 students and approximately 30 schools throughout the state that attended the conference and competed in scholastic events.
This year KHS’s Carson Beckman finished his year as a HOSA state officer. He also competed in the prepared speech event and placed 9th.
Kamiah has attended the conference five years in a row now and all students placed in top 10.
Godavari Murphy and Lacey Kludt (sophomores) placed 4th and 5th in prepared speech individually and as a team they placed 2nd with a silver medal in health career display. Chynna Wilcox (sophomore) placed 10th in extemporaneous health poster and 3rd (bronze medal) in health education with her teammates: Marlee Engledow, Zoe Wilcox and Hailey Roberson (freshmen).
“As their advisor I couldn’t be more proud of all of them,” said Terry Law. “Job well done!”
With a silver and bronze medal win all six young ladies are qualified to compete in the 39th Annual International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., June 22-25.
