— Had a hard day’s work? Stressed to the hilt? A massage and some beauty treatments are in order, and it just got easier to fit into your busy schedule.

Megan Lorentz has opened The Massage Boutique at 402 King Street, Suite B, in Cottonwood (the old Simmons building-next to Riener’s Groceries and Purses Galore).

Lorentz grew up in Kendrick, graduating from high school there in 2003. She then attended Lewis-Clark State College to train in medical office procedures.

“But I decided I wanted more than just a desk job,” she explained. “So I looked into massage therapy and completely fell in love with it.”

She moved to Coeur d’Alene to go to massage school in 2005. She had her own business from 2006 to 2012, but then started her family.

She attended the American Institute of Clinical Massage and then later in 2011 attended Academy of Nail Technology and Esthetics.

She and her husband, Justin (Duke) Lorentz said they enjoy living in the area around his family, raising their kids with family.

“I always had this dream or vision that I would start a little business … and now it’s a dream come true,” she said. “I love the health and beauty field and look forward to helping people.”

Lorentz will offer massages as well as manicures and pedicures, lash extensions and will be offering and introducing facial treatments (hot stone facials with different face masks to choose from).

Sixty-minute massages are $40 while 90-minute is $60. Gel nails are $15, polish is $10, toes are $10 and a pedicure is $20. Lash extensions are $50 (introductory) with fills for $30.

“Come get your beauty on!” smiled Lorentz.
