It’s Fair week in Cottonwood. It should be a great fair. The weather is supposed to be good and maybe not too hot. Good luck to all 4-H’ers with their projects.

St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will be hosting their annual golf scramble on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Grangeville Country Club. “We limit the number of four-person teams to 15 and use the scramble format so everyone is guaranteed a good time. We have openings for both donors and golfers,” said Ashley Steinbruecker, SMH Foundation Co-ordinator. “The scramble will be followed by dinner and each golfer is free to invite a guest. The dinner is included in the$75 entry fee.” Registration be-gins at noon with tee-off at 1 p.m. For information contact Ashley at 476-8033.
The Tri-Parish welcomed Bishop Peter Christiansen here for the weekend. He celebrated Mass at Keuterville last Sunday night. He spent some time getting to know the people of this area.
Rain hampered the harvest for a while, but now farmers are back in the field. Yields are good, but the price is low.
