St. Mary’s Hospital is once again gathering school supplies for needy students in Cottonwood, Nezperce, Kamiah and Craigmont schools. Boxes will be placed in the medical clinics in each of the towns from Aug. 17 through Aug. 28. Any new or very gently used school supplies are needed. Please drop them off at the hospital or any of the clinics and the supplies will be distributed to the schools. If you prefer not to shop, cash donations are always welcome and could be mailed to Brenda Kaschmitter at PO Box 137, Cottonwood, Idaho 83522. (Indicate that it is for school supplies.)
If you want a new outlook on life, have cataract surgery. I had both of my eyes done the last two weeks. I can’t believe the beautiful colors! Everything is bright and beautiful! It makes me appreciate God’s creation even more.
Harvest has moved to the Keuterville-Westlake area. There are still some farmers harvesting around on the prairie, but most of them are finished. The apple and pear trees are really loaded this year. It should be a bumper crop also.
