Grangeville Senior Citizens

Aug. 15 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Tom Helmick; free dinner, Denis Long; number of meals, 64, and 33 home-delivered; Bingo winner, Jim Barnett; blackout winner, Donna Barnett.

Aug. 19 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Nina Stromberg; number of meals, 86, and home-delivery of 37 hot and 63 frozen; guests: Judy Hall, Jim McMahon, Scott Glenna, Rick McLean, Tiffany Elwood, Karla Hill; Bingo winner, Donna Barnett; blackout winner, Donna Barnett.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Dolores VonBargen opened the Aug. 16 meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. Susie Schumacher of Boise was our guest this week. She came with her mother, Norma Schumacher. There were 47 meals served with 25 home-deliveries. Vera Holthaus won the free meal.

Dolores VonBargen shared a couple of jokes with the group. Anna Gehring won the nickel Bingo pot while Dolores Kindall and Katie Remacle split the blackout. Door prize winners were Theresa Funke, Reggie Kaschmitter, Larene Nightingale, Lorraine Nuxoll and Ingrid Mader.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Aug. 30: Tuna Salad on Lettuce, Cabbage Salad, Whole Wheat Roll, Fruit & Jell-O, Cucumbers.
