Honored Service To City

At the Aug. 15 council meeting, retiring Grangeville Volunteer Fire Department chief Dan Tackett (left) received a plaque of appreciation for his service to the city from Mayor Bruce Walker (right). Tackett has served nearly 30 years on GVFD and as chief since 1994. “He’s been an excellent chief,” Walker said at the meeting, complimenting on his professional management of the department. “He’s done an outstanding job for the City of Grangeville.”
