Packed schedule for 80th Kamiah Barbecue Days

Events include Sunday Bull Bash



Sunday services set

Barbecue Days in Kamiah will include church in the park. The Life Center church will be hosting the service this Sunday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. Music will be provided by Johny Schuster and the TLC Worship Band. Pastor Kelly Lineberry will offer the message. Bring chairs and a friend. Everyone is welcome. There will be no services at The Life Center building that morning.

— The 80th annual Kamiah Barbecue Days are set for this coming weekend and the events will pack a full schedule for young, old, and everyone in-between.

The events start Friday, Sept. 2, with the spaghetti feed at the Senior Center from 4 to 7 p.m. The Kamiah High School versus Pomeroy football game is set for 7 p.m. at KHS with a teen street dance at 9 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 3, starts off early with the Chuck Wagon Breakfast at the CVRA Rodeo Grounds, 7 to 10 a.m. The fun run is set for 8 a.m. at Kamiah Physical Therapy, 4th and Hill streets, and the craft show opens on 5th and Idaho streets at 9 a.m. Both the kiddie and main parades are set for 11 a.m. The Clearwater Classic Car Show will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on 5th Street, and all youth are invited to the KCPS Youthzone Games at the Wa’A’Yas Field from 1 to 8 p.m. The annual chamber auction will be on 5th Street at 2 p.m. along with the karaoke contest. The free barbecue dinner is set for 5 to 7 p.m. on Idaho Street with a street dance in the area running from 8 p.m. to midnight with the band “Kicktoy.”

Sunday, Sept. 4, the Bull Bash will take place at the CVRA Rodeo Grounds at 4 p.m.

Additional activities include: the Central Idaho Art Association Show will run Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closes at 4 p.m. Saturday) at Central Idaho Agency, 5th and Main streets. The 21st Annual Quilt Show will be held Saturday and Sunday at St. Catherine’s Church, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closes at 3 p.m. Sunday). The Kamiah Valley Museum (next to the Welcome Center) will be open Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The chamber beer garden, located at 5th and Idaho streets, will open at 5 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
