— The Tree of Giving project is up and running again this year. Contact Kathy Knudson at the school or Debbie Rendleman at 842-2605.

The Christmas Bazaar donations need to be at the school by next Friday. You can take them to the school or call Sue to come pick them up.

Aluminum cans may be donated to REACH Club. They are no longer being stored at the school but can be left under the roof behind the ambulance shed across from the VFW. There is also a can at the Store where you can deposit them. This is a huge fund-raiser for REACH so they appreciate the community’s help!

The community library will not be open on Wednesday, Dec. 21 or 28, due to school being out for Christmas break. It will be open Wednesday, Dec. 7 and 14, regular hours, 3:15 to 5 p.m., and will resume regular days on Wednesday, Jan. 4. If you want to request ValNet books during the closed period, you can change your pickup library destination to another in the area such as Grangeville, Kooskia, or Kamiah, or even Lewiston. Any questions can be directed to Sue Phillips at 842-2359.

Peg Gehring will be at the Elk City Medical Clinic on Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 962-3267 for an appointment.

Meetings: Elk City Area Alliance at 7 PM on Monday the 12th at the Forest Service meeting room.

Birthdays: Rylee Chaffee
