WHERE WE'LL BE

COTTONWOOD — Prairie will host that school's only home wrestling event of the season starting at 5 p.m., and tonight's dual will mark the first Central Idaho League event of the season. Clearwater Valley/Kamiah co-op and Grangeville wrestlers will be competing, as will Orofino and Potlatch. Snow is in the forecast.

AROUND THE LEAGUES

In Grangeville, the GHS girls will be playing their Central Idaho League opener against Orofino. The Bulldogs (2-3) swept the season series and playoffs against the Maniacs (3-4) last season. Action begins with the girls JV taking the floor at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

In Kamiah, the Prairie girls (7-0, 2-0 Whitepine League) will put their undefeated record on the line against a Kubs squad that does not yet have an opponent in common with the Pirates this season. The C teams will play at 4:30 p.m. with the JV to follow and the varsity expected at about 7:30 p.m.

At Troy, the Prairie boys (3-0) will be gunning for their second league win against a Troy squad that slipped to 1-2 overall with a 50-30 home loss against Potlatch Monday night.

MORE TO SEE

In Kooskia, the Grangeville boys (1-1) will challenge unbeaten Clearwater Valley (2-0). GHS swept the season series last year, winning two games by a total of 12 points. The GHS boys C team is at home against Orofino at 4:30 p.m. The JV boys tip off at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow at about 7:30 p.m.

At Weippe, the Clearwater Valley girls (0-7) will be gunning for their first win of the season against the winless Spartans (0-3). The varsity game will tip off at 6 p.m.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
