Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Dec. 21
CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Dec. 21, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church.
No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 926-7776.
CV alumni basketball games set for Dec. 20
KOOSKIA – As part of his senior project, Clearwater Valley High School senior Kamm Mangun is hosting Alumni Basketball Games at CVHS.
Three games will be played: Womens game at 5:30 p.m., followed by Old Men’s game and then the Young Men’s game. Cost to play is $5 per person. To play, call Mangun at 451-6243 prior to Dec. 20.
The night of the event there will be a live auction of pies as well as a silent auction. Cost for admission is $3 per person.
Clearwater Valley Aero to host Christmas party
KAMIAH – Clearwater Valley Aero Club will host a Christmas party Saturday, Dec. 17, 3 p.m., at the Kamiah Airport Hangar, 121 Airport Road.
A Dutch-oven cook-off is set to be a highlight of the party. Those who wish to be involved in this event must preregister by calling Danyel Rich at 935-0375. Compete with the “Cooking Irons” group, but remember all chefs must pre-register. The Dutch oven cook-off starts at noon with the community coming in at 3 p.m.
Each chef will make one entrée and one dessert and these will be shared with the party attendees. Prizes will be awarded, including a People’s Choice award.
Food, drinks, live music and dancing will be a part of the event for all who attend. Admission is free; however, donations for the Clearwater Valley Aero Club will be accepted.
Military families invited to visit Santa, get gifts
GRANGEVILLE — Attention all current military and veteran families in the Grangeville area: Santa will be here at the Grangeville Armory Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 to 5 p.m. Families are invited to stop by, get pictures with Santa and receive a gift. Cookies and juice will be served as well.

Tae Kwon Do Club meets weekly
GRANGEVILLE – Camas Tae Kwon Do Club is meeting at its new location, The Gym, 1005 Highway 13, in Grangeville. Dr. Loren Miller instructs the class each Monday and Thursday, 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Those attending the class must be at least 16 years old.

GRANGEVILLE — The Mr. GHS Scholarship Pageant will be taking place Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, 7 p.m., in the Grangeville High School Cafeteria. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Caroling party, concert set for Veterans Community Center
GRANGEVILLE — Enjoy the songs of the Christmas season with a free concert and caroling party at the Idaho County Veterans Outreach and Community Center. Just listen or sing along while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies. The Johnson Girls (Sue, Kelly, Kim and Wendy Lindsley) will be leading the sing-a-long with intermittent jingle bell rockin’ piano by Jinny Cash.
