Elk City News: Christmas program is tonight

Jamie Edmondson Elk City 842-2452

— Don’t forget the Elk City School and Reach Club Christmas program is tonight at 6 p.m. There will be a dinner of meat, potatoes, gravy and rolls provided by the Reach Club. The community is encouraged to bring side dishes or desserts. A Christmas program of puppets, singing and possibly even a visit by Santa will follow the dinner! Hope you all can be there.

Due to weather, Peg Gehring had to reschedule the appointments at the Elk City Medical Clinic for Dec. 19; from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 962-3267 for an appointment.

Dr. Kim Wolfrum, the vet, will be with us on the 13th and 14th.

Weather report for those of you out of town: had 20 below; got a lot of snow these past several days – more like the old days! Looks like the NOAA climate forecasts are calling for cooler and wetter than normal through April which should equal to a bunch of snow! Maybe enough to cover the tops of the fence posts like it used to do?

I’m getting feedback from folks in the community about their disappointment in IDT’s lack of response and care of our Highway 14 so far this winter. The contrast was quite apparent at the junction of Highway 13 and 14. Anyone else got an opinion? I would love to hear from you.

Meetings: American Legion on the 14th at 7 p.m.
