Grangeville Senior Center

Dec. 12 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Kathy Straw; meals at site: 50 with 31 hot home-deliveries; Bingo winner, Katie Remacle; blackout, Mary Purdy.

Dec. 16 – pledge, Stanley Modrell; prayer, Shirley Crane; free dinner, Alta Clark; meals at site: 67 with 39 hot and 53 frozen home-deliveries; other: Jeri Hattrup won the drawing on the house that Stan Modrell made and donated.

Menus: Dec. 23 – ham, yams, cauliflower, green salad, pineapple; Dec. 26 – no meal; Dec. 30 – hearty potato ham chowder, veggie salad/balsamic vinegar, small cinnamon roll, orange.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Dolores VonBargen opened the Dec. 13 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Larry Clark led the dinner prayer. Guests were Liz (Johnson) and Craig Clure of Craigmont. They came with Gen Broker. There were 60 meals served with 29 home-deliveries. Hilda Nuttman won the free meal.

Chris Remacle shared four jokes with the group. Dolores VonBargen won the nickel Bingo pot while Jim Barnett and Dolores VonBargen were blackout winners. Door prize winners were Elred Nuxoll, Doris and Ron Sonnen, Gen Broker, Carol Altman, Elaine Schumacher and Reggie Kaschmitter.

If you have a doctor appointment in Lewiston, call Katie Manifold of Coast Transportation at 208-541-4090 and she will take you down, also for shopping.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at noon.

Menu for Dec. 27 - Oven Fried Chicken, Creamy Potatoes & Peas, Baby Carrots, Biscuit, Pears. This is also the birthday meeting and the fiddlers will be here.
