COTTONWOOD Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you are having a great week with family and friends.
I can’t believe how the snow just keeps piling up. The trees are beautiful with snow on the branches. The road crews have been busy working to keep the roads clear. Don’t forget to thank them for their tireless effort. Many of them are out there during the night so we can get where we want to go in the morning. Good job, guys!
The Haiti 2018 Mission Team is hosting the annual Alumni Game on Thursday, Dec. 29, at Prairie Elementary School. The women’s game is first at 6:30 p.m., and the men’s game will follow. The night will be filled with food, basketball and fun.
Cara Duman will be running the concession stand with lots of goodies to eat like soup, hot dogs, chips and more. There will be a three-point contest between games with the winner collecting half of the pot. They will also have several foul shot contests for all ages. The cost for players is $10, and a spectator fee will be taken at the door. There will be a family discount, so bring your family.
All alumni from Summit and Prairie are invited and encouraged to attend. Note that all proceeds will go toward getting our high school youth to Haiti to work with the Missionaries of the Poor in 2018. We appreciate your support and hope to see you there. If you have questions, call Debbie at 553-5837.
