KEUTERVILLE The 39th annual Keuterville Holy Cross parish dinner and prize drawing has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Keuterville Hall.
Roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy top the menu with green beans, fruit, tossed salad, and homemade rolls. Assorted desserts will round out the meal. Bingo games will be played all day on the stage, and the raffle drawing for 23 prizes will begin at 4 p.m. This year participants can win a cord of firewood, seven chances for $100, 10 pounds of smoked and 10 pounds of bulk sausage, a fleece blanket, four chances for $50, and finally nine chances for $25. Buy a raffle ticket from any St. Mary’s/Holy Cross parishioner.
In 1997 Holy Cross became a chapel, taken care of by Cottonwood’s St. Mary’s residing priest. Today, the beautiful historic building is used for weddings and funerals and special occasions throughout the year. Sunday evening Mass is at 7 p.m. throughout the summer, starting Memorial Day and running through Labor Day.
This annual fund-raiser helps fund the maintenance. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for grades one through six, and kindergarten/preschool free.
