Val Stone and Gracie Stout were two of the pink-wearing Eagle Aerie No. 539 of Grangeville float riders and candy throwers Sunday, July 3.



— Border Days results for several events July 1-4 are as follows:

Royalty: Rachael Stevens of Grangeville was named 2017 Border Days Queen while Micaela Farris, also of Grangeville, was crowned Border Days Princess 2017. Miss congeniality was Montana Kirkpatrick of Kooskia. Also participating was Jillian Hausladen of Grangeville.

Egg toss: Winners July 2: Craig and Jay Spencer; July 3: Cole Lindsley and Austin Parks (also overall toss-off winners); July 4: Mike and Chantel Key. All are of Grangeville and won trophies and $20 each for each win.

Parade: Best royalty float: Idaho County Fair (1st); Best Royalty Horseback: Riggins Rodeo (1st) and Lewiston Roundup (2nd); Best Commercial Float: Bud’s PowerSports (1st); and Potlatch No. 1 Federal Credit Union (2nd); and Best Non-Commercial Float: Eagles Aerie 539, Grangeville (1st).

Border Days Raffle: First place, Mindy Lamb; second place, Ron Parks; third place, Mike Kennedy.
