— The Free Summer Concert Series will continue Thursday night, July 21, with the band Vintage Youth.

“This Grangeville-based band plays a little bit of everything,” said concert organizer Rachel Young.

Vintage Youth consists of Wendy Lindsley and Kim Johnson on vocals, Ted Lindsley and Todd Marek on guitar and bass and Mike Johnson on guitar and vocals and Sydney “B.J.” Walker on drums.

Vintage Youth has played at many venues around the area including at The Gallery and for events at the Elks.

The group offers a fun vibe with sweet melodies and popular tunes everyone enjoys listening to, said one concert-goer who recently listed to the group in Grangeville.

The concert is set for 6 p.m. at Pioneer (City) Park. Admission is free; however, donations will be collected to help offset entertainment expenses associated with the series.

The concerts are family-friendly and those who come are invited to bring picnic dinners, chairs and blankets. The series is sponsored by Grangeville Arts, Inc. and the Grangeville Chamber of Commerce.

The final two concerts will be held July 28 featuring Phoenix 99, a blues band, and Aug. 4 with Kooskia’s country musician Josh Crosby.
