Triple Bar O-Mok-See set for July 31

GRANGEVILLE — The Triple Bar Drill Team annual O-Mok-See will be held Sunday, July 31, at the Grangeville Border Days Arena. Sign-ups start at 8:30 a.m. Call Tracy Sharp at 451-4335. Concessions will be available.

VBS set for Clearwater Baptist Church

CLEARWATER — Vacation Bible school will be held at Clearwater Baptist Church Aug. 1 through 5, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., each day. Children 4 years old through grade six are invited to take place in the “Submerged” themed event which will include crafts, Bible stories, recreation, songs and snacks.

In addition, a youth program for teens in grades seven through 12 will be held each evening, 6 to 8 p.m.

Higgins earns dean’s list honors at Tufts

MEDFORD, MA —Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester. Among these students is Joseph Higgins of Grangeville, class of 2018. He is a graduate of Grangeville High School. Dean’s list honors require a semester gpa of 3.4 or greater.

Back to School Brigade offers supplies for military families

GRANGEVILLE – Operation Homefront will offer the Back-to-School Brigade to military families. This will offer school supplies at no cost to families of those parents serving in the military as well as U.S. service veterans.

Priority will be given to recipients of deployed, active/Guard Reserve, ranks E1-E6, or all ranks of Post 9/11 veterans wounded, ill or injured.

Supplies will be available at the Grangeville National Guard Armory, 105 E. North 4th Street, Aug. 9 through 11, 3 to 6 p.m. each of those days. For questions call Lacy Alm at 507-1740 or e-mail lacy1442@hotmail.com. Additional distribution times may be available by calling Alm.

Clearwater luncheon canceled for Aug. 3

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s luncheon for Aug. 3 has been canceled due to vacation Bible school. The next meal is set for Aug. 17, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. All are welcome. Call 926-7776.

Stites church to host singing group, hymnsing

STITES — Gospel Lighthouse in Stites will be host to the singing group Double Portion out of Canada Thursday, July 28, 6 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 5:30 p.m., the church will have the Fifth Sunday Hymnsing. All are invited to both events.
