Federal forests to help host Free Fishing Day events

The Nez Perce-Clearwater Forests and various partners are hosting three free kids’ fishing day events this year, at Wilkins’ Pond, Karolyn’s Pond and Fenn Pond this Saturday, June 11. The events are free to all kids up to age 12 and an adult must accompany participants. There will be lots of fun and even a few prizes so grab your pole and please bring your own tackle. The ponds will be stocked by Idaho Department of Fish and Game. The events will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.

Fenn Pond

LOWELL — The third free fishing event on the forests is to be held at Fenn Pond, located across from the historic Fenn Ranger Station on the Selway River.
