KAMIAH Six Kamiah High School students who earned the right to compete at the International HOSA-Future Health Care Providers conference in Nashville, Tenn., June 22-25 continue fund-raising efforts with the goal of raising enough money to cover expenses associated with the conference.
Lacey Kludt, Davi Murphy, Chynna Wilcox, Marlee Engledow, Hailey Robinson and Zoe Wilcox all earned medals, placing in the top three, at the Idaho State HOSA-Future Health Care Providers competition in Boise in April. A top-three finish qualified participants for the international competition.
On the morning of Saturday, June 11, HOSA participants will be at Cloninger’s Harvest Foods in Kamiah washing cars and selling home-baked goods.
On Thursday, June 16, members will be hosting a taco bar at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church from 5-6:30 p.m. Cost will be $6 for adults and $4 for children 10 and younger. This event will also serve as a sendoff for the participants who leave for the conference June 21. For planning purposes, it would be helpful if those attending would RSVP on the Kamiah HOSA Nationals Facebook page.
Donations are still being accepted at the Crowdrise website www.crowdrise.com/kamiah-high-school-hosa-chapter—-international-competition, or the Kamiah Community Credit Union (now Freedom Northwest Credit Union) HOSA account.
Participants said they appreciate the support they have received from local communities.
