IFG gives out scholarships to local students



— Idaho Forest Group is awarding 12 college scholarships worth $500 each this year to family members of the IFG team.

The recipients of the scholarships are as follows:

•Tyler Schwartz is the son of Mike and Shanna Schwartz. He graduated this spring from Orofino High School and will enroll this fall at Lewis Clark State College to enroll in their diesel mechanics program.

•Zachary Fisher is the son of Laurie and Ed Eckert. He is enrolled at California State University Chico where he continues his studies in finance.

•Treana Hanson is the daughter of Mick and Jenny Hanson. She graduated from Grangeville High School this spring and plans to attend Lewis Clark State College where she will pursue a career in dental hygiene.

•Hali Hutchins is the daughter of Ron and Mari Hutchins. She graduated from Kamiah High School this spring and will attend Lewis Clark State College where she will pursue a degree in elementary education.

•Bryan Gilmore is the son of Tracy and Paul Gilmore. He is continuing his education at the University of Idaho majoring in mechanical engineering.

•Zachary Baldwin is the son of Paul and Mindy Baldwin. He graduated from Clearwater Valley High School this spring and plans to attend University of Idaho where he will study music education.

•Joseph Higgins is the son of Bill and Diana Higgins. He is attending Tufts University where he is pursuing a degree in cognitive and brain science.

•Colton Cervantes is the son of Martin and Dina Cervantes. He graduated from Grangeville High School this spring and plans to attend Lewis Clark State College where he will pursue a career in justice studies.

•Taylor Bushaw is the daughter of Francis and Jill Bushaw. She is enrolling in California State University Northridge where she will continue her studies in political science.

•Jakob Layman is the son of Jerod and Jackie Layman. He graduated from Grangeville High School this spring and plans to attend Lewis Clark State College where he will study for a career as a machinist and welder.

•Tanner Schwartz is the son of Mike and Shanna Schwartz. He will be attending Lewis Clark State College where he will continue his degree in exercise science.

•Shalynn Gutzman is the daughter of Ed and Michelle Gutzman. She graduated from Clearwater Valley High School this spring and plans to attend Lewis Clark State College where she will pursue a career in dental hygiene.
