Missoula man faces felony meth charge

A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Montana man for possession of methamphetamine.

Robin L. Jinotti, 61, of Missoula, is set for a preliminary hearing in magistrate court on Tuesday, June 14, on felony possession of a controlled substance. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of both drug paraphernalia and marijuana, and possession of a prescription drug without authorization.

Charges resulted from a May 30 traffic stop on U.S. Highway 12, milepost 119.5 by Idaho State Police for speeding, according to court documents. Jinotti was identified as having a felony warrant for arrest out of Clearwater County for possession of a controlled substance and was detained. During a search of his person and vehicle, the ISP trooper allegedly recovered crystal meth, in total less than three ounces of marijuana, and paraphernalia.
