The Distinguished Young Woman of the Camas Prairie event was held in Grangeville Saturday, June 11. Winner for DYW 2017 was Marissa Kennedy ($1,000) of Grangeville High School and first runner-up was her cousin, McKenzie Kennedy, also of GHS ($500). Marissa also won physical fitness ($200) and interview ($200). McKenzie also won the scholastic award ($200). Talent was won by Faith Uhlenkott of Prairie High School ($200) who also won the spirit award ($150). The self-expression award ($200) went to Madison Ulmer of Prairie High School.
